Collaborative Writing: Narrative

This week we have been doing some really cool writing! We were asked by Room 9 at Nelson Central if we would like to write narratives with them.

We have been using google docs to do this. A group of two people from our class and two from theirs write the story together, at the same time, over the internet! It is very cool.
If you'd like to check out some of our stories, please visit their blog by clicking on the link, since their teacher has kindly put them up!

It has been lots of fun for us, learning to write in a different style, and getting to work together with kids we've never met! Thanks for including us, Room 9!

  1. Hi Room 10

Once again you surpass my expectations. What a cool collaborative project. I think people right round the world will learn from this and be amazed at what great writers you are.
    Well done all of you!

  2. This is very clever Room 10. I work with teachers and other adults trying to teach them about how to use Google Docs. Forget "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" I am going to ask "Are you smarter than Year 3!!!!" Well done.
I really like the stories you wrote too.

  3. We felt really excited when we visited your blog today and saw a photo of our blog!

Thanks for putting our blog on your blog!!

We thought it was fun working with you last week. We think you are excellent story writers, you have good ideas.

At first we found it frustrating as we were working out what the story was about. Then we got the hang of it!

If you look at our class blog you will see that we have left a big surprise for you!!
