Last week Group D read a book all about Hercules, a Greek mythical hero, and how he killed the Hydra, a nine headed monster. They also read a list of the other tasks Hercules had to do. Then they had to expand one of Hercules' tasks using their imaginations. Stella chose to write about Hercules and the Lion. The book said, "Hercules had to kill a lion with very tough skin. Then he put on it's skin to keep him safe." Stella expanded the story and then her group created a play based on her story. Watch the clip to see Group D performing Stella's rendition of Hercules and the Lion.

Hello Stella and Group D
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your play and Stella's rendition. You spoke so confidently and your performers did a wonderful job. I think that was a very clever way to kill such a fierce, strong lion.
Very well done Group D! One month to kill a lion is a VERY long time.

Stella you did a great job with your recount and I particularly liked how you read it with such a clear voice! The actors that you had in the play were pretty funny too, I thought Hercules did a good job. And having someone playing a sharp rock, that was clever!

Hi Group D
ReplyDeleteMy favourite way of killing the lion would be to stick my arm down its throat, grab it by the tail & turn it inside out.
I like your work, I thought it was clever and funny, well done
